It wasn't long before the others came to know of what he had discovered! He felt it was better to disclose it to them voluntarily rather than be forced into answering them.
He started, "I came to know of this artifact of the diety at a library. When I went to see it, I heard that it was being decorated with some extra fittings. So I went to look at it at the shop that it was being re-done. When I went there, there was no-one in the shop and so I explored on my own. As I looked at the many artifacts and idols one by one, I came across an item that had the figure missing. I thought that the craftsman was perhaps working on it. As I looked at the others in the room, the craftsman came in and gave a cry of alarm that the diety was missing. When he looked at me accusingly, I explained to him why I was there and I was saved by the fact that I didn't carry anything with me. The artsman lamented and showed me a painting of the diety. I took a good look at it and promised to tell him if I found it anywhere. When I came back again to the temple, there was this folk-dancer attired int he exact costume and pose that I saw on the photo. I asked him about the idol. He told me that he had a similar one at home and took me there. He asked me to wait outside and went inside to retrieve it. Since he didn't come out even after a long time, I went in to find him. He wasn't there but there was this idol of the diety. There was also no other exit. . ."
